Currently, he is the Director of the Special Collections Division of the Library, which includes the Puerto Rican Collection, History of Medicine, the Ashford Archive and the Thesis collection of the RCM. It offers a variety of workshops and lectures on the effective use of library resources and, for three years, participates as a facilitator of the 1st Year Integration Seminar of the School of Medicine. He also serves as Co-Coordinator of the Title V Cooperative Project between the RCM and the Central University of the Caribbean. This project aims to offer educational experiences in the field of clinical and translational research to students and faculty of undergraduate programs of both institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Efrain has a master&#8217;s degree in Library Science and Information Science and a Doctorate in Education, both from the University of Puerto Rico, R\u00edo Piedras Campus.
