All the educational activities are organized with the intention of providing a coherent, integrated and progressive academic program in Internal Medicine and its subspecialties throughout the three years of training.<\/p>\n<p>Rotations<\/p>\n<p>Clinical Rotation Blocks Schedule<\/p>\n<p>TABLE<\/p>\n<p>PGY-1PGY-2PGY-3<\/p>\n<p>Rotations<\/p>\n<p>Blocks (4weeks each)<\/p>\n<p>Inpatient:<\/p>\n<p>General Internal Medicine Ward(UPRH-Carolina, UH, VA)<br \/>\nCardiology Ward<br \/>\n5 Blocks<\/p>\n<p>1 Block<\/p>\n<p>Intensive Care Medicine- University Hospital (UDH)<\/p>\n<p>1 Block<\/p>\n<p>Outpatient Care Medicine (Ambulatory Clinics)<\/p>\n<p>2 Blocks<\/p>\n<p>Admitting Officer for University Hospital (Daytime ER Consultant Team)<\/p>\n<p>1 Block<\/p>\n<p>Night Float<\/p>\n<p>1 Block<\/p>\n<p>Infectious Diseases or Pneumology<\/p>\n<p>1 Block<\/p>\n<p>Vacations<\/p>\n<p>1 Block<\/p>\n<p>TOTAL<\/p>\n<p>13 Blocks<\/p>\n<p>Every year of training is divided into 13 clinical rotation blocks each lasting 4 weeks. Each Resident will have the right to one vacation period of 4 weeks per year of training. Also, there are several opportunities for elective rotations during the three year training period.
