Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. It is a privilege to lead a department committed to excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community engagement. Our faculty, staff, and trainees work together to advance medical knowledge, cultivate compassionate physicians and scientists, and address the health challenges of our time with innovation and professionalism.<\/p>\n

Our department is committed to training the next generation of pediatricians in an environment that fosters academic excellence, integrity, and lifelong learning. Collaboration and mentorship are cornerstones of our academic culture.<\/p>\n

Through evidence-based clinical practice, and a deep commitment to service, we aim to make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of the children and families we serve.<\/p>\n

It is our goal to continue strengthening the Department of Pediatrics at the School of Medicine of the Medical Sciences Campus as a flagship in academic training with continuous growth, aimed at delivering excellent medical care with a sustainable focus with impact in the community.<\/p>\n
