The University of Puerto Rico has a long tradition of post-graduate training in nearly all of the medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. The UPR School of Medicine sponsors residency and fellowship programs in 36 specialties and subspecialties. All School specialty and subspecialty programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Residents and fellows are supervised by faculty members dedicated to promoting the highest standards of patient care, research, and teaching. Our School is affiliated with more than 30 institutions that support Graduate Medical Education Training Programs.
