Welcome to the Associate Deanship of Faculty Affairs, our mission is to enhance the working environment and culture among the faculty of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine (UPR-SoM).

Our Goals:
- Support Junior Faculty: We guide junior faculty members through crucial processes such as appointments, renewals, promotions, tenure, and understanding of UPR policies.
- Diversity and Inclusion: We ensure that our faculty recruitment procedures align with the UPR SoM Diversity and Inclusion policy, promoting a diverse and inclusive academic community.
- Faculty Development: In collaboration with the Associate Deanship of Academic Affairs, we facilitate the development of teaching, research, administrative, and leadership skills through various faculty development activities.
- Well Being: We are committed to implement programs and resources that support the wellness of our faculty, prevent burnout and foster the professional success of our faculty
