On behalf of the Microbiology Dept, I congratulate Dr. Sariol and his team, for their latest publication in Nature Communications on the first proof of concept of a bivalent dengue vaccine (against two serotypes DENV2 and 4). This is of high importance to Puerto Rico, as it could simplify the vaccine design and, in the future, drastically reduce outbreaks and hospitalizations.
We are very proud of the Flavivirus program, both the PI and his students’ amazing work!
