Welcome to the Allergy & Immunology Section of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) School of Medicine. Enclosed is a brief overview of our ACGME Allergy & Immunology Training Program which supports the education of internists and pediatricians in the Allergy & Immunology subspecialty. We offer evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions including asthma, urticaria, rhinitis, anaphylaxis, food and drug allergy, immunodeficiency and autoimmunity. We conduct allergy testing, allergy immunotherapy; patch testing, spirometry, drug and food challenges and desensitization among others. We also conduct Journal Clubs with the participation of community providers on Allergy & Immunology topics and conduct research on allergic and immunologic diseases. We hope you enjoy your visit!
