The Rheumatology Section of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. It was established in 1960 and currently is the largest rheumatology center in the island. Since its establishment its mission has been to deliver the highest quality of care to patients with the most complex rheumatic disorders. It is home to the only Rheumatology Training Program in Puerto Rico. Our goals are to provide patient care, conduct scientific research, and train the next generation of rheumatologists.
