The Microbiology Department congratulates Albersy Armina Rodríguez for obtaining a 2023 AAI Careers in Immunology Fellowship!
Albersy is a grad student of the Biomedical Sciences program in Microbiology, developing her dissertation work under the mentorship of Dr Ana Espino.
Together they study the a recombinant Fasciola hepatica fatty acid binding protein as an anti-inflammatory treatment for sepsis.
We congratulate Albersy’s achievement and the valuable mentorship of Dr Espino, who has developed an amazing model system with an array of applications.
This Department is clearly an incubater of great talent from faculty to students!
