Prerequisite : Have completed and approved second year
of medicine
The course will expose the students to the process of clinicopathologic correlations in the field of Pediatric Pathology. During a period of four weeks, the student will be exposed to gross and microscopic examination of pediatric specimens and placentas and participate in the weekly Pediatric Treatment Planning Conference (TPC). The student will perform a pediatric autopsy and will be responsible for the autopsy protocol and clinicopathologic correlation. This case will be presented at the end of the rotation at the Autopsy Review Conference.
