Dr. José R. Rodríguez Medina
The director of the Department of Biochemistry at the School of Medicine, Dr. José R. Rodríguez Medina, has become a member of the National Advisory Council of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health, at the invitation of the former Secretary of Health and Human Services of the United States, Javier Becerra.
The rector of the Medical Sciences Campus, Dr. Myrna Quiñones Feliciano, congratulated Dr. Rodríguez on this appointment on behalf of the entire community. “This appointment is highly regarded in the professional field and raises the profile not only of our faculty at the School of Medicine but of the campus, since this organization is made up of leaders in the fields of education, biological and medical sciences, and public affairs in the United States,” she said.
