The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology bring the opportunity to other Internships and Transitional Program to rotate in our services. The elective rotation in our service is highly recommended, but not compulsory, to those interested to apply to our Residency Program. The requirements for the rotation are:
- Formal letter from your program director requesting the rotation including possible dates. The letter should be addressed to Dr. Keimari Mendez-Martinez, Program Director.
- The following documents should be sent with the rotation application letter:
- Copy of the License to practice medicine in PR
- Copy of the Certification of Malpractice Insurance
- Curriculum vitae up to date
- COVID-19 test (48 hours before start rotation)
- Immunization evidence of COVID-19
- Immunization evidence of Hepatitis and Varicella)
- Immunization evidence of Influenza
- Health Certificate
- School of Medicine Diploma
- CPR or ACLS
- Negative Certificate of Penal Record
- Rotation Evaluation Form of your program
- Personal Medical Insurance
- Copy of a personal identification with photograph
- The documents should be sent by email to navas@upr.edu, at least 3 weeks prior rotation date. Application received with less tan 3 weeks of the beginning date or incomplete will not be considered or will affect the beginning of the rotation.
- A Program Letter of Agreement between both programs should be signed and up to date.
- Every application is subject to space availability. Our faculty believes in the quality of the learning.
- When the rotation is authorized and scheduled, a letter with information and instructions will be sent to the applicant.
