Five years are allowed for earning the M.S. Degree and seven years for the Ph.D Degree. Courses taken more than five years previous to the granting of the M.S. degree, and more than seven years previous to the granting of the Ph.D degree may be accepted, with the following provisions:

  • The time limitations for the degrees themselves cannot be exceeded.
  • An examination showing that the student’s knowledge is equivalent to that obtained in a current course must be passed.
  • Approval of the Graduate Committee is required.
