Our School has been devoted to high quality standards in the education of students and residents while advancing knowledge base and cognitive skills, developing a learning environment based on learning by doing with the assumption of graded responsibility. As part of the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine, our Department of Pediatrics provides outstanding educational opportunities to medical students, residents and subspecialty fellows. Associate Chair for Academic Affairs

The Office of the Associate Director for Academic Affairs supervises and oversees the establishment and design of the Pediatric Curriculum of the four (4) years of the MD Program. It also gives support to the Residency Program Director in topics related to academic issues and accreditation. Develops and provides a CME and Faculty development program in accordance with the needs of the Faculty. Both these latter programs are supported by the School of Medicine Faculty Development Program and the Medical Science Campus CME Offices.
